Once again Arsenal fans have taken to social media to express in their disappointment at winger Nicolas Pepe after another dismal show against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.
The £72 million summer signing from Lyon started the match against United but barely threatened United as he found the going tough against United youngster Axl Tuanzebe who was utilized as a makeshift left-back in the match.
United went ahead through Scot McTominay juts before the break while Pierre Aubameyang scored Arsenal’s equalizer to ensure that the two teams shared spoils from the closely fought clash.
Pepe who was kept quiet for the 77 minutes that he was on the pitch before he got replaced by academy graduate Reiss Nelson who looked sharper for the around quarter of an hour that he was on the pitch.
The Ivory Coast international, who has scored one goal since his big-money move to the North London club was once again on the receiving end with most Arsenal fans casting doubts on his ability.

I knew Pépé wasn't a world class player but I really didn't realise he was this shit. Terrible player. Worse than I thought tbh. No wonder he got benched by his national team for someone who plays for Orlando Pirates F.C. 😭😭😭

Some however lept to his defence noting that the left-footed forward needs more time to settle. While some blamed coach Unai Emery for failing to utilize him well leading to the struggles.

Everyone shitting on Pepe:
Emery's system is the problem. Look what he does to Mesut Ozil. I can't judge an attacking player in this system harshly. Need to see what they can do on a football team with a manager that actually tries to attack.
