Popular Beautician Nancy Kigwe Dragged Into Cohen Murder

Well known city Beautician Nancy Kigwe Wettstein was on Monday brought in by the DCI over the murder of Dutch businessman Tob Cohen.

It was reported that the popular hairdresser was questioned for hours by detectives in regards to her relation with Cohen’s wife Sarah Wairimu.

The 63 year old is stated to be close friends with Sarah and was once the owner of Pivot point and Rembo Salon businesses.

DCI George Kinoti however declined to give details into the interrogation on Nancy when questioned on the matter, pointing out that the court order imposed on the case barred him from disclosing any information.

According to sources, information on whether Nancy is a witness or a suspect in the case, remained unknown.

Nancy, becomes the third person to be included into the case following the arrest of Sarah and Peter Karanja.

Karanja, who is the ex-husband of Gilgil MP Martha Wangari, was apprehended by the police on September 10.

It was indicated that the authorities were still on the hunt for three other suspects linked to Karanja.

On September 16, it was revealed that Karanja’s phone signal was suspected to have been detected by Criminal Intelligence Unit detectives at the crime scene before it went off and then re-emerged in Gilgil area.

The suspect had filed an application through his lawyers Felix Kiprono Matakei and Festus Mbati, over the mistreatment by the law enforcers  while in custody and demanded to be presented in court or released.
