AFCON2019: Krepin slams social media bullies

 

Senegal midfielder Diatta Krepin has decried the abuse that has been going ron social media regarding his physical appearance. Krepin became a notable figure after scoring a remarkable screamer, his first goal for the Lions of Teranga against Tanzania during their opening match on Sunday.

The 20-year-old plays for Club Brugge KV as a midfielder. After his excellent goal for Senegal, Netizens became interested not only in his skills but also his look. A video of Krepin with his beautiful white girlfriend recently made news online where people trolled him as “beauty with a beast”

A Nigerian model tried to troll Krepin,  calling him a frog, however it back-fired on her badly with fans of Senegalese player taking her down hilarious tweets. The model stated that “Even if I’m given 50 Million Naira, I can’t marry ceramics.”

But fans did not hesitate to give her a rejoinder;

The Senegalese forward, on his side, maintained his cool and only called for love from fellow Africans saying that he is working for this beautiful continent, Africa and he should not be mocked in reward.

In March 2019, the 20-year-old was one of four young Senegalese players to receive a debut call-up to the national team. Other players include goalkeeper Dialy Kobaly Ndiaye (19), striker Sada Thioub (23), and midfielder Mamadou Loum Ndiaye (22). Krepin made his debut for the squad on 23 March 2019 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.
