The path of The Deputy President William Ruto of ascending to the presidency is arguably the rockiest path to trek on with escalating allegations that there is a group of Cabinet Secretaries who are plotting for his assassination.
Four ministers have so far been summoned by DCI officer Michael Sang with claims that Dr Ruto had linked them to a secret plot to eliminate him.
With the building up political tension, Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut has dared Ruto to make a public appeal on his allegations as they are key in the Jubilee fall out.
The vocal MP claims with it will be hard for the Cabinet Secretaries and the DP to plan development agenda with the looming allegations.
Making the plea on his Twitter account Chepkut posted;
“Dear Ruto, Come out openly and tell us the truth. It appears there is more than meet the eye. What Kind of Government are you guys driving that is on the news every day for the wrong reason. How will you guys sit in cabinet and deliberate on development?”

The Ainabkoi Legislator is not the only politician to make such appeals to the DP. Kisumu Woman Representative Rosa Buyu on Tuesday questioned why Ruto is yet to publicly speak about the plot to assassinate him.
“What I find intriguing is that the claim is anonymous and no one is coming out to actually say that they made the claim. If there is any truth in it then the DP must come out openly and publicly to make/ own that statement,” she said.

Trade and Industrialization Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya who was first to complain over the alleged plot, accused Ruto of linking him to the plot without proper investigations.
Other leaders include Transport minister James Macharia, ICT boss Joe Mucheru and Health CS Sicily Kariuki .
It is a serious allegation especially coming from the Deputy President who is occupying a powerful office in this land. I think it is irresponsible, unfair and it intended to portray us in a very bad light – CS Munya takes on DP Ruto over assassination allegations pic.twitter.com/Cu4XlnuypT
