The ghosts of the slain controversial Businessman Jacob Juma continue to haunt the Deputy President William Ruto. The controversial businessman, a known critic of the Jubilee government, was gunned down by unknown assailants near Lenana School on 5th May 2016

Juma appeared to have a premonition of his own death going by the posts on his social media accounts which he linked the Deputy President William Ruto. He made his first claim on attempt on his life when he alleged that a senior government official was obsessed with killing him.

Seven days later, he proclaimed that he had reached the pinnacle of his life and was therefore not afraid of death.

Then on March 1, 2016, he offered himself as the sacrificial lamb in order to end corruption.

More than three years later and Juma’s murder has never been resolved. But his name has re-emerged on social media after Ruto called the Directorate of Criminal Investigation claiming that his life is in danger. On Monday, four Ministers were summoned to the DCI to provide more information about Ruto’s claims.

It is on the basis of these claims, that Kenyans have recalled Juma’s brutal murder.
