The war on corruption took unprecedented step Thursday after six of the senior-most officers at the Communications Authority of Kenya were arrested and detained by police awaiting trial.
The officers who are members of a procurement board are said to irregularly obtained proceeds of exorbitant prices in the CAK show stand at the Agricultural Show of Kenya.
In a report, EACC Thursday said nine of the officers were to be arraigned in court with the offence.

Through the coordination of the Director of Public Prosecutions, EACC has been allowed to open a case against the nine in what could reign the flouting of tender procedures in government institutions.
