A heated DP Ruto has lashed out at opposition leader Raila Odinga for poking his nose in situations that do not concern him.

As a matter of fact, the DP has told the opposition leader to focus his energy on reviving the opposition instead of ‘lecturing’ the government on how to handle corruption and how to fight it.

He insisted that Odinga’s plans would not scuttle his presidential bid, saying that leaders who were mentioning his name in connection with corruption scandals were aiming at derailing his 2022 plans.

Ruto: Raila should not lecture us on how to run gov't

“Ule mtu wa upinzani anajaribu kutufundisha jinsi ya kuendesha serikali na vita dhidi ya ufisadi ilhali upinzani umesambaratika” (The opposition guy is trying to teach us how to run the government, he should fix the opposition first) Ruto said.

In what was an escalating war of words between the DP and the leader of opposition, Ruto said that he would not allow an outsider to bring problems in Jubilee or derail his 2022 presidential bid.

“These people were not with us when we were forming the government, we should not allow them to sneak in now that we have a government in place,” Ruto added.
