Wide contrast between slain Lawyer Robert Chesang’s lavish lifestyle and that of his ailing Father

Chesang Kiptala, father to slain city lawyer Robert Chesang fell ill a few days after learning of the murder of his son.

The advocate was gunned down by armed assailants in his Moke Gardens home in Lukenya, Machakos County, in broad daylight on February 17.

According to the Daily Activesince his son’s death, Kiptala has not managed to walk and has to be carried by neighbours from one spot to another.

The deceased lived in a palatial home which is a direct contrast to the small-smokey mud structure that his father resides in.

A video posted by NTV Kenya clearly shows that Kiptala does not live the luxurious life his late son lived.

In the video, one can also see the mat that Kiptala retires to every evening in the one-roomed house in Baringo County. 

It was also reported that the late Chesang’ once paid an excess of Ksh 500,000 to live in a hotel for three months.

Kiptala still mourns his son and wants a speedy conclusion to the matter and calls on those found to have a hand in Chesang’s death to face the full force of the law.

“I am demanding that those behind the killing of my son be put behind bars. I don’t know whether he will be buried, in his home in Machakos or in the village,” stated the distraught father.

According to police, the deceased peeped through the window when one of the men knocked at his door. It is at this point that the assailants opened fire.

Crime scene investigators found seven spent cartridges with three bullet wounds to his chest.
