Police from the flying squad police division have arrested Chief inspector of police  Kennedy Omondi for allegedly impersonating an immigration officer.

Police from the flying squad police division have arrested Chief inspector of police  Kennedy Omondi for allegedly impersonating an immigration officer.

The flying squad pounced on the police inspector and his three accomplices Stanilus Otieno, Eddie Obwaka and Boniface Omengi.

Police recovered a pistol and ammunition at the hideout.

Flying Squad Detectives have this evening arrested four people, among them a Chief Inspector of Police, who were impersonating @ImmigrationDept officers. The four were trying to extort Sh2 million  from unsuspecting Kenyans after allegedly confiscating their passports and documents.

The complainants said that the four impostors had asked for a bribe of Sh10 million before reducing it to the aforementioned amount.
