Nakuru Father and son lose their lives owning to a sh100 debt

Nakuru County police are investigating an incident in Molo whereby a 30-year-old man allegedly killed his father over Ksh.100 debt owed to him at Lawina village in Elburgon.

The altercation started after the son demanded Ksh.200 owed to him but his father,Wilson Chepkicho Yegon, gave him Ksh.100.

The infuriated son then started assaulting the father before picking an axe and hacking him to death.The assailant then fled after committing the act but was later cornered by irate residents who lynched him.

According to neighbours, the accused had, on several occasions, been involved in incidents that allegedly include beating up his parents.

While confirming the incident, Deputy County Commissioner Naftali Korir said that investigations are underway adding that the culprits behind the mob justice will be arrested. The body of the 66-year-old man was moved to the Elburgon hospital mortuary while the son’s body was still at the scene hours after he was lynched.
