Eldoret Accident death toll raises to 11

The death toll of the  accident  that occured last night in Eldoret along the Eldoret- Kaptagat- Ravine road has reached 11 people following the death of  another person of the 5 people who were rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.

Witnesses at the scene noted that the accident involved a Matatu heading to Ravine that is believed to have been terribly speeding, swerved off the road prompting it to roll several times killing 8 on spot and other three including five sub-county chiefs.

Five of the 11 people died so far from the grue some Eldoret accident are chiefs who were returning from a meeting in Iten town. Three died on spot while two sub- county chiefs succumbed to serious injuries while being rushed to hospital.

However, five other people are admitted to the hospital nursing wounds but still in critical condition.

Police confirmed the incident and reports indicate the vehicle rolled on a steep section of the road that is in bad shape due to potholes.

Kenyans woke up on the news sending in their Condolence messages terming it a black Tuesday.
