Rahab Ng’ang’a, a 35-year-old Nairobian describes virginity as a journey that has had its fair share of hurdles. Her mother, a staunch Christian, raised the lass and her sisters the ‘right’ way because celibacy was a step to purity.
In a clip spotted by on Tuesday, January 29, Rahab has had a few failed relationships and to some extent, her stance on sex was a huge turn off for some of her partners. “We were told if we played around with boys we would end up pregnant and if we got pregnant we would drop out of school,” she opened up during an interview on Ebru TV’s Let’s Talk.
The beauty explained she was lucky enough to find men who shared her beliefs but they were not really into walking the talk. Some, like her, believed sex was a sin but the mind was willing and the flesh was weak. One of her lovers thought it was okay to do everything else but of course any sort of intercourse was off the books.
“We could not agree on the issue. The question was always how far is too far?” Rahab opened up. According to the lady, some men have suggested the reason she is still unmarried at her age is because she just will not budge. “Others will tell you, you need to try, you need to practise and it is an unnegotiable thing,” she said.
