Melania Trump’s Visit to Africa received different reactions from excitement to people admitting that they don’t even care. In Africa, she had earlier mentioned that he will visit Ghana, Malawi, Kenya and Egypt. The news was broken by several sources on twitter about a week ago. Some Ghanaians admitted that they were honoured by Melania’s visit although some had different reactions.
News of Melania Trump’s solo Africa journey hasn’t gotten big coverage in Ghana press.
Today’s business paper ignored it; two govt-owned papers put it on front page, with the stories on pg 16.
Trump doesn’t dominate the news here in Ghana—they’re into local and Europe news. pic.twitter.com/q8phqSi9YY

Good to know that my people are minding their own business.

I think Ghanaians got more important things to cover or read about, than @FOTUS making news headline.

She wants BUSINESS paper to report on HUMANITARIAN Matter at their front page!!??
shes quoting a purely BUSINESS newspaper as if it news that they didn’t report on the US first lady’s HUMANITARIAN trip! I dont like Trump too, but this reporter is sick in the head… wagyimi!— Against Supporters Union. EfieFor ABayifor (@AgainstSU) October 4, 2018
People stood on sidewalks in Accra, Ghana, as Melania Trump’s motorcade traveled by, but there was little visible reaction—few waving hands, and no homemade signs (in support or protest). pic.twitter.com/z6RBHGXHaV

On her arrival to Kenya, tweeps also had so much to say received as others welcomed her, some claim that this visit will leave Kenya the same with no changes. Last night, Kenyan First Lady Margarett Kenyatta gave her a warm welcome and indicated the plans on their today’s schedule.
In Kenya, she is expected to stay in the country for two days with her agenda being to promote health, education and environmental conservation. Melania has the intention of promoting her Be Best initiative, her official agenda unveiled in May designed to improve children’s well-being.
