The Anti-Rabies Event In Nairobi Is Going To Be Huge! This Is Why

Some of Kenya’s biggest writers, Sitawa Namwalie and Aleya Kassam are going to perform at the anti-rabies event to be held atTribe Hotel, Village Market. They will highlight the work of the TNR Trust, an organisation that is working towards removing rabies in Kenya.

Aleya Kassam is a writer and performer who has been published in Mail and Guardian Africa. On the other hand, Sitawa Namwalie is a playwright and poet who won Kenya’s Sanaa Theatre Awards Best Spoken Word and Poetry last year.

The TNR Trust got established in 2015 in due to the growing menace of cat and dog population. It aims to eradicate rabies in Kenya by combining rabies education.

“Similar programs have proved to be successful in other parts of the world, reducing the spread of rabies and improving community health,” organisers of the event said.
