A leopard snatched and ate the 3-year-old son of a female ranger working in the Queen Elizabeth National Park on Monday.
The boy was with his nanny in the staff quarters of a safari lodge in the park. The child was snatched by leopard when he followed the nanny outdoors.
Ugandan authorities initiated search operation as soon as they got to know about the incident. Unfortunately, they could not save the toddler as his skull was found the next day.
“The hunt is still on with the intention of capturing the leopard and removing it from the wild because once it has eaten human flesh, the temptations are high to eat another human being, it becomes dangerous,” said Bashir Hangi (Wildlife authority spokesman)
