During the service, Ruto stated that those saying that “nobody can stop reggae” in regards to the BBI report should wait and see it being stopped, as he claimed that rallies being held in various parts of the country are being used to propagate hate and ethnic profiling.

The DP also said the BBI rally that took place in Narok on Saturday was used to spread hatred and fear, vowing that he will not be blackmailed or threatened.

“We are not going to be blackmailed or threatened or victimized by people who don’t believe in God,” he added.

Ruto was accompanied by among other leaders, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) and Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira).

Earlier on Sunday, the DP had led his Tanga Tanga faction to laugh off the story that had claimed that his chances to win the presidency in 2022, were being tainted by his association with individuals facing graft and criminal charges.

“‘As he casts his gaze far and wide, is William Ruto ignoring the small distractions nibbling away at his reputation?’ ” an excerpt from the story reads. “He styles himself as a hustler who is fighting political dynasties but his path is littered with political mistakes and an unhelpful circle of political allies.”

Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen also fired at the publication claiming that they lacked objectivity as he termed the paper as a propagator of fake news.

“Since you got new shareholders you completely lost objectivity. Fake news!”
