The price of tomatoes has gone up in the country leaving most Kenyans at the mercy of sellers or forced to seek alternatives to the loved fruit.
Many have turned to social media to express their frustration while lamenting over the exorbitant prices they are grappling with in the market to be able to use it in their favorite dishes.
However, it seems like the king of comedy Eric Omondi has not been affected by the price.
This is after he decided to play with tomatoes in his new parody dubbed Ainyanya which it’s originally from Otile Brown collabo song with Sanaipei Tande’s Aiyana.
Kenyans who are affected by the price were quick to criticize him for playing with ‘red gold’.
The high tomato prices have been blamed on the low supply in the market occasioned by the recent heavy rains witnessed across the country which does not offer a conducive environment for tomato growth.
