War is not something that brings joy but on Friday, Twitter was lit up after netizens went all out with the #WWIII hashtag.
Reports alleged that Iran’s Qasem Soleimani, who is the commander of the Qods Force (Iran’s external security agency) was murdered by the United States.
It was alleged that a drone strike was perceived to have been orchestrated on the Muslim leader by the superpower nation.
Following the death of the powerful general, additional information surfaced that the Arabic speaking country would retaliate on the act from a nation considered to be an ally.
News doing round on the internet suggested that the brutal attack was deemed to be equivalent to killing the Vice-president of US.
Despite these details, netizens somehow managed to turn a serious matter into a rib-cracking one with memes over an impending World War three.
Here are some of the reactions:

According to AFP News, US citizens within Iran and Iraq were advised to evacuate the two countries in a bid to avoid being caught in the retaliation attacks.
“US citizens should depart via airline while possible, and failing that, to other countries via land,” read a part of the message from the US embassy in the region.
