Waiguru’s Husband Takes on Moses Kuria Over Abusing His Wife

City lawyer and husband to Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru, Kamotho Waiganjo, on Monday, took on Gatundu South Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria over an alleged abuse directed to his wife.

According to the Gatundu South Legislator, who shared a screenshot of their conversation, Waiganjo cautioned him against abusing his wife.

In the screenshot, the city lawyer told the MP: “Hon Moses Kuria, stop abusing my wife. You can criticize her politics all you want but stop abusing my wife.”

In response, the MP told Waiganjo that he was referring to a different person and urged him not put together his case to that of Genge artist King Kaka, who composed a song, dubbed Wajinga Nyinyi, castigating elected leaders for failing to deliver on their mandate.

“Relax Wakili. I was referring to Kabura, not Madam. Dont mix me up with King Kaka. Ni sori (Sorry),” responded Kuria.

Barely a week ago, Kuria in all appearances slammed the Kirinyaga governor for letting down President Uhuru Kenyatta after the National Youth Service (NYS) program, he says, failed to achieve its mission.

“#KTNPointblank I sympathize with President Kenyatta. If there was a project that could have transformed Kenya more than the Big 4 combined it was the NYS as originally designed.

The President meant well. Till he entrusted the program to a kleptomaniac harlot,” tweeted Kuria.

Kuria’s remarks come years after Waiguru was cleared by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) of corruption allegations pitting the NYS.

The Former Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Devolution and Planning was implicated in corruption allegations which resulted in her resignation in November 2015.

The ghost of the NYS has haunted her with political rivals using it as a weapon to scuttle her political ambitions.

Kuria alongside other leaders allied to Deputy President Wiliam Ruto has been slamming Waiguru following her close association with ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Waiguru has on record said that she is facing criticism from a section of politicians owing to her stature as a frontrunner in the 2022 presidential election.

Her association with the ODM leader is seen as a course of striking a political deal come 2022 with pundits arguing that the Former CS could be aiming for a Deputy President position.
