Another Body Retrieved From Indian Ocean Near Likoni Channel

Ferry authorities in Likoni have retrieved another body of a mid-aged man from the Indian Ocean, near Likoni channel.

The body was reportedly discovered by fishermen along the Florida beach area near the ferry landing site on Monday morning, who later alerted the police.

According to the police, the deceased is estimated to be aged between 30-35 years.

“This morning unidentified body of a man estimated to be aged between 30-35 years was sighted by fishermen along the Florida beach area near the ferry landing site,” read Kenya Ferry’s Facebook post.

The Ferry Police, with the help of the fishermen, retrieved the body without the left arm.

The body has been transferred to Coast General Hospital Mortuary.

“The Ferry Police with the help of the fishermen retrieved the body with a missing left arm, the body has been transferred to Coast General Hospital Mortuary. For more information kindly contact the Ferry Police Station where the incident has been recorded,” Kenya Ferry added.

The identity of the body is yet to be established.

The discovery of the man’s body comes barely five days after the ferry police discovered another dead body floating at the Likoni Channel.

On Saturday, December 7, another sad incident occurred when a saloon car plunged into the Indian.

The body was later retrieved by the Kenya Navy.

According to Kenya Ferry Services the deceased, John Mutinda, sped off to the ramps at a high speed immediately after purchasing the ticket and plunged into the ocean.
