Cherenganyi Member of Parliament Josua Kutuny on Saturday had a rough time addressing a gathering at a fundraiser at Evangelical Bible Church in Ilula area of Moiben Constituency, Uasin Ngishu County after rowdy youths heckled him while addressing the congregation.
In video footage shared by MKN news on its YouTube account, a group of Boda Boda riders were captured shouting and honking as Kutuny continued addressing the gathering.
In his address, Kutuny cautioned Rift Valley nation over the looming succession politics saying they will be left out if they dont consider an alternative strategy.
“I have heard the political strategy of Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and President Uhuru.
“As Kalenjins time is nigh that we consider one fact that Kenya is bigger than the Kalenjin nation.
“If we will not take caution, the rest of the country will land on power and Kalenjin nation will be left out,” said Kutuny.
The MPs remarks come at a time when he is facing massive criticism from a section of Rift Valley leaders over his allegiance to ODM leader, Raila.
Kutuny who is an ardent critic of Deputy President William Ruto has been siding with the Kieleweke faction of the Jubilee party.
He has openly castigated Ruto for corruption and also opposed his 2022 presidential bid.
Given that the MP comes from the region where the DP enjoys massive following, Kutuny has hinted at giving a shot at Lang’ata Parliamentary seat.
During the thanksgiving rally of Kibra MP-elect Bernard Okoth, Kutuny posed to the crowd whether the current Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir will beat him if he decides to contest against him in 2022.
The MP was in the company of Central Organization of Trade Union Secretary General Francis Atwoli and ODM Nominated MP Wilson Sossion during the fundraiser in Uasin Gishu.
