KCPE Results Could be Released Next Week, Deputy Governors to Get Absolute Powers in New Motion & KAA Rubbishes Report on KQ Stowaway

Good morning Kenyans. It seems it’s yet another day that the weatherman got his prediction right. Despite the dull mood given by the dark skies, there is a ray of light that is set to breakthrough as the day progresses.

Away from nature and to more pressing issues, Jubilee Party has had enough of Nairobi Majority Leader Abdi Guyo’s shenanigans and showed him the exit door.

The move by the ruling party might have signified two things, one, you don’t pick a fight with Governor Mike Sonko and expect to win and two, the reinstated Nairobi Speaker Beatrice Elachi finally had the last laugh.

This poses one question, who next from the County Assembly chaos will rub Elachi or Sonko the wrong way and have their fate sealed like Guyo?

Shifting gears from the political scene to a more heartbreaking story of the stowaway who died in June.

The man was finally identified and was found to be a Kenyan. Many people would outrightly come out and condemn the man for his antics but not everyone knows the reason why the deceased went to such extent.

The 29-year-old was a cleaner at JKIA and had illegally boarded a plane bound for UK in an attempt to find a better life, one without suffering as his pay was not enough for him in his quest to start a family with his girlfriend.

The sad bit is the man never found that life and instead found death after falling 1km from the sky.

As we wait for the events around that incident to unfold, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News.
