Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has asked the Luos residing in Kibra Constituency to vote for Jubilee’s candidate MacDonald Mariga as a show of gratitude for supporting Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who was Langa’ta MP from 1992 t0 2007.
Notably, Kibra Constituency was hived off from Langa’ta Constituency before the 2013 general election.
Khalwale, in a campaign rally for Mariga in Kibra on Thursday, said it is time for Luos residing in Kibra Constituency to support Mariga who is of Luyha ethnicity.
“Bernard Otieno Okoth is from the Luo Community which we respect so much. MacDonald Mariga is from the Luhya Community which we respect so much. In the coming November 7 by-elections, you should not destroy the friendship you have built. I want the Luos to walk to vote for Mariga just like the Luyhas voted for Raila for 25 years”.
