The pair worked together when Solskjaer was with Molde between 2017-2018 and the player is thought to be interested in making a switch to Old Trafford. Tottenham and Sevilla are also said to be closely monitoring the player with the view of making moves if they get impressed with him.

United are expected to offload Nemanja Matic in January with AC Milan and Inter Milan both interested. Fred could also find himself out of Old Trafford as it’s thought that the coaching staff believes he may never live up to to the 52 million price tag United paid to sign him in 2018.
