Woman Ambushes Hairdresser, Burns Face & Chest in Nakuru

A 20-year-old woman is nursing facial and chest burns after she was allegedly attacked at Tegea Trading Centre, Kuresoi Division, Nakuru.

According to the victim’s brother-in-law, Membo Kemunto Makowe was at her salon Monday morning when Venica Kerubo stormed in and poured hot water on her face and chest.

She was taken to Kericho Level Five Hospital for treatment.

Police are currently hunting down the suspect.

In Nyandarua County, a 24-year-old motorcyclist was murdered after a gang of three hijacked him and his pillion passenger at gunpoint.

According to police reports, the rider, Michael Nyagah, and his passenger, John Macharia, were hijacked at Mairo Inya Trading Centre by three men wielding a pistol.

The hijackers directed them to Corner Mbaya area, where they allegedly killed Nyagah and seriously wounded Macharia.

The hijackers made away with the deceased’s motorcycle and Macharia’s mobile phone.

The case is under investigation.

Elsewhere in Athi River, Machakos, 10 passengers sustained serious injuries after a mini-bus in which they were travelling collided with an oncoming vehicle near the Railway Crossing area.

Those injured were rushed to Shalom community hospital for treatment.

The two vehicles belonging to Rembo and Kimma Saccos were also detained as police investigate the incident.
