ODM Chairman John Mbadi on Tuesday found himself on the receiving end of brutal trolls from a section of Kenyans on Twitter (KoT) after calling for the resignation of DP William Ruto.

Mbadi’s opinion came just hours after the arrest of Treasury CS Henry Rotich and other high ranking officials in relation to the Arror and Kimwarer Dams scandal.

Mbadi who doubles up as Suba South MP, together with a group of ODM leaders had called on Deputy President William Ruto and Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen to resign following indictments over the scandal in which billions of shillings of taxpayers’ funds were lost.

“DP Ruto & his henchmen, including Murkomen, came out to publicly state that there was no impropriety in the matter… They should apologise for misleading Kenyans,” Posted Mbadi online.

It is, however, Mbadi’s comments that rubbed some social media users the wrong way. Some advised him  to first concentrate on supporting and passing the necessary bill, Punguza Mzigo Initiative before embarking on William Ruto’s resignation.

Mwale Josephat Kilusha Support Punguza Mizigo Bill 2019 then we will listen to you.
First things first.

Wendolove Mwangi Leave our Deputy President alone. He is not a tribal leader he was elected a national leader. May the Lord protect you, my Deputy. May the Lord give you a long life full of days. Shalom

Some took time to educate Mbadi on who approved the funds telling him to face the head of state in person because it was the state which approved it.

Cetric King Mluhya Who approved that project, the state did so let them face it

Rashid Omar Government project cannot be paid without approval of the head of state, so mbadi we are not foolish, we know you are creating loopholes for Ruto but you cannot reach him,

Ken Odanga But same Mbadi doesn’t go turf on ODM GOVERNORS accused of same corruption! Wonders! Corruption is just an offence if it involves Ruto.

Paul Ndungu If Mbadi has any evidence incriminating Dr Ruto let him show us,, we are ready to force him out of office,,but if its just the usual bickering, He should Zip up and let court of law discharge its constitution mandate,,,, and by theway Ruto is not Odm candidate.,

Isaack Mwau My friend mbadi why are you hanging on ruto’s nake or you want now the story to be viewed as targeting someone or castigated with 2022 politics…. let the law follow those culpable shall face the music

Ken Kosgei You see now this ODM , You have now gone too far up to our jubilee bed room ety you DR RUTO out???? That’s alive wire you are stepping at then.

Ben Rono Mbadi’s comment reminds me of the hyena in folklore which followed the man ,salivating hungrily hoping the swinging hands are about to fall off !.Yes,it is good manners to keep quite now and leave Haji to do his job.Your comment will vindicate those who believes this is politically “weoponised” corruption fight.
