The memorial service of the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore at All Sant Cathedral brought together Deputy President Wiliam Ruto and one of the major suspects in the alleged plot to assassinate him.
Health Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki, a major suspect in Ruto’s assassination plot, met with the DP publicly for the first time at the event on Thursday.
However, eagle-eyed Kenyans have gone forth to raise an alarm over the manner that the DP’s handshake landed on CS Kariuki with the majority arguing that Ruto was obviously on a revenge mission with his alleged murder suspect.
In a photo going viral, Ruto is captured tightly squeezing CS Kariuki’s hand in a manner that to many seemed unfriendly and might have induced some pain to the CS.
One Wakoli Kunani Wrote;
“Was DP Ruto revenging against health CS Cecily Kariuki? The
#HandShake, too much….”

CS Kariuki is a among other 3 Cs from Mt.Kenya region including Transport minister James Macharia, ICT boss Joe Mucheru and Trade and Industrialization Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya who have so far been summoned over a secret plot to eliminate the DP.
CS Munya who spoke on their behalf was first to complain over the alleged plot where he accused Ruto of linking him to the plot without proper investigations.
It is a serious allegation especially coming from the Deputy President who is occupying a powerful office in this land. I think it is irresponsible, unfair and it intended to portray us in a very bad light – CS Munya takes on DP Ruto over assassination allegations pic.twitter.com/Cu4XlnuypT
