Speaking during an interview at a local vernacular station on Tuesday morning, Sudi maintained that the door to William Ruto’s office has always been open to all leaders and wondered how some few leaders like Tolgos who leads both the Keiyo and Marakwet communities could falsely claim that he had been restricted access.

Asked on whether he usually speak on behalf of his master Deputy President William Ruto, Sudi maintained that he never speaks on behalf of anybody but usually speaks his mind and put things the way it is without compromise.

“I never speak on things that I hear nor under the fear of the unknown, I just put things the way they are. We never discuss things with William Ruto. Ruto has always spoken on his own way. He usually amazes me because what he thinks and speaks is totally different from what we thought as his friends” said Sudi.

Alex Tolgos became the latest senior politician to leave the DP’s team in search for a more “accommodating” camp. He joins other leaders including Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Shollei, MPs Sila Tiren (Moiben), Joshua Kutuny (Cherangany) and Alfred Keter (Nandi Hills) who have recently shifted camp and are considered to have a soft spot for the Kanu leader.

Those leaving the DP’s camp are blaming his close allies, accusing them of arrogance and disrespect.

They accuse Dr. Ruto allies, including Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen, MPs Caleb Kositany (Soy), Oscar Sudi (Kapseret) and Mr Farouk Kibet, the DP’s powerful aide, of treating them with disdain and failing to appreciate their positions and the influence they wield in the region.
