1,830 copies of Miguna Miguna’s books seized at Mombasa port

Canadian lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna has cried foul after his books were ‘seized’ at the Mombasa port.

Miguna Miguna has accused the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) for withholding his 1,830 copies of his book.

The general has been the biggest critic of Jubilee government and his book was cited from the political injustices he faced after his NASA counterparts lost the 2017 general elections.

The title of the book is called Treason which is something he was charged with last year and was deported.

His deportation was illegal as the court had issued an order but president Uhuru Kenyatta is alleged to have forcefully thrown him to exile.

The books arrived from Germany on March 7, 2019. and his clearing agent was charged Shs. 256,000, an amount higher than the cost of shipping according to Miguna.

However, he paid the said inflated charges but his books could not be released for distribution.

The General said that KRA is waiting for ‘message above’ so they can act on it but for now the book will remain at the port.

He maintained that he will not be intimidated and seizing his books will not keep the truth from being exposed.
