A recent viral video of ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga dancing to Diamond Platinumz’s ‘Tetema’ has brought him into a clash with Isiolo County Woman Representative Rehema Dida Jaldesa .
The firebrand Women Rep has criticised the veteran opposition leader for dancing with “small girls.”
Speaking at the Orahey Grounds in Tarbaj Constituency during a fundraiser graced by Deputy President Dr William Ruto, Jaldesa in Wajir County.
“Those who are criticising you for building churches and mosques and empowering women and the youth are using their money for entertaining themselves. We thank those who invented social media because a few days ago we saw Baba dancing with small girls with liquor everywhere, ” Jaldesa fired.
The firebrand Woman Rep pledged to throw her weight behind the deputy president as he angles for the presidency in 2022.
Over 60 million shillings were raised in the fundraiser aimed at raising money for Islamic institutions and anti-radicalisation programs. Other North Eastern leaders led by Majority Leader Aden Duale attended the function.
Dida was referring to a viral social media video in which Raila Odinga was seen dancing with a number of ladies after his arrival from a visit to China in which he had accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta.
She is a strong ally of DP Ruto and was elected to parliament on a Jubilee Party ticket in 2017.
