How Group Made A Killing from Loaded Barclays Bank ATMs

A group of four men have been released on a Sh500,000 bail after pleading not guilty to charges of stealing money running into millions of shillings.

Mr Fredrick Herman Otiya, Daniel Orero Okindo, George Gachungui Njoroge and John Otieno Makambogo were charged before a Nairobi court following a string of robberies in Barclays Bank ATMs.

β€œThe accused persons jointly conspired with others not before court to commit the said crimes between April 1 and 16,” the court was told.

While a number of Kenyans traveled upcountry the four are suspected to have been a busy group, minting money from the ATMs around the city.

Sleuths believe the robberies may have been coordinated given the manner in which they happened.
