Ajax defender Matthjis De Ligt is the new rising star that has rocked and turned European teams crazy.
The 19-year old Netherlands International has played a big role in the success of Ajax this season both in the local league and the Champions League.
Barcelona had made it clear that they want to sign the defender and would do everything to secure De Ligt.
However, after the defender’s good display in the recent Champions League matches, many Premier League teams have joined the race to secure the Dutch.
De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola has made it clear they will wait for what other teams will offer before signing for Barca. He had earlier urged De Ligt to move to a team that will offer good amount like Manchester United.
Nonetheless, De Ligt had earlier stated his desire to play for Barcelona.
Barca, on their part, has stated they are willing to fight until the end to secure his signing, promising him a better offer and position.
