Waititu shakes in boots after Kabogo’s reunion with DP Ruto

Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu is a man whose fate is hanging on a beam balance after his bitter rival William Kabogo crossed lines to Dp Ruto’s Camp.

For some time, the two haven’t shared a podium into what left the people propagating they haven’t been into good terms.

In 2017, the DP who was in charge of the Jubilee nominations was accused of rigging famous mount Kenya politicians who could have rendered him useless come 2022 elections. Former Jubilee interim vice chair David Murathe accused Ruto to rigging Kabogo out.

Kabogo had earlier warned the DP that the Mount Kenya region won’t automatically vote for him. Kabogo’s utterances didn’t go well with the DP team whom they fought from all centers.

Mr. Kabogo blamed Mr. Ruto for his defeat in the 2017 gubernatorial election after he was floored by Mr. Ferdinand Waititu in the Jubilee Party primaries. The former county chief claimed that the DP authored his downfall by sponsoring Mr Waititu’s candidature to silence him.

Mr Waititu has been a loyal member of team Tanga Tanga that has been drumming support for Mr Ruto’s 2022 bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

A source has hinted to the writer that Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu was left shocked after realizing that Kabogo and Ruto were to attend the public meeting in Molo.

Waititu who is known to support anything that Ruto proposes is said to have fallen out of the Ruto’s camp after several instances of corruption issue.

“The Kabogo, Ruto public meeting has shaken Waititu and he is on a mission to engage Ruto more to overdo the Kabogo factor,” Source said. Waititu has been on record over ranging corruption issues where his chief of staff and a driver were recently arrested with millions.

Other leaders who accompanied Mr Ruto to the Israel Assembly of God Church in Molo, Nakuru included: Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara, Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria, Kuresoi South MP Joseph Tonui, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa, Njoro MP Charity Kathambi and host MP Kuria Kimani.
