Controversial Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli is at it again this time round hitting hard at the ‘ever slim’ structured deputy president William Ruto.
The trade unions boss alleged that the DP is continuing to “steal” public funds and instead of increasing in weight he gets slimmer day by day.
Atwoli told workers who attended COTU Shop Stewards Meeting in Gikomba, Nairobi county that they were not getting salary increment because some few individuals have stolen the money.
He added that when he speaks about the lost money he is called a witch doctor by deputy president William Ruto. He also urged the DP to stop calling him a witch doctor because he is not one.
He told him (Ruto) if he wants to know why he won’t be Kenya’s president come 2022 to hire a witch doctor and he (witch doctor) will tell him why.
He said he is a Christian and there is no way he can be associated with witch doctors.
Atwoli insisted that there will be a referendum before 2022 to change the form of governance in Kenya adding that the referendum will not be for preventing any individual from ascending to power.
Workers are however not happy with the union boss after reports emerged that he is now supporting Uhuru’s 1.3% house levy deductions. Many Kenyans are suspecting this move as a new scandal in the offing given that there is no laid down structures to ensure the funds are utilized in a responsible manner.
