Liverpool receive double injury boost ahead of Huddersfield clash

Liverpool receive massive double-boost ahead of Friday clash

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has given the club a timely boost as they prepare for Friday night’s English Premier League match against Huddersfield.

Fabinho was forced off the pitch on Sunday during their match against Cardiff, only four minutes after coming on as a substitute.

His head injury was not as bad as initially feared, and the Brazilian trained on Thursday with the rest of the team.

Liverpool will also welcome Mohammed Salah, who was allowed to attend a gala dinner in New York.

The Merseyside club head into Friday’s match knowing that only victory will keep them in the title race, after watching City topple them from the summit of the league with a 2-0 win away to Manchester United.

The Reds are currently placed second on 88 points, one behind leaders City, and will be hoping for a slip-up from the Champions with only three matches left.

The Cityzens will be in action on Sunday when they take on Burnley away.
