Stephen Kariuki,a lawyer by profession has sued his wife of ten years, Caro Ngui after finding videos on her phone showing her raping him as he slept.
The woman, who is in her 30s, repeatedly filmed herself carrying out sex attacks on her husband who was asleep in their bed.
Kiambu Law Courts heard that the couple, who have children together, had been married for more than 10 years when the abuse began early in 2019.
The woman’s husband discovered the videos after his wife left her mobile phone at home when she went to work.
The court heard that the man contacted his wife after he found the videos saved in a smartphone application and said: “I’ve just watched videos of you raping me on your phone.”
The woman did not come home, and handed herself to the police. At the police station she told officers: “I have had sex with my husband. He didn’t consent. He found out and saw videos on my phone.”
In a statement, the victim said: “In March 2019, I discovered my wife had been sexually abusing me. “Since that day, my life and that of our children has been completely turned upside down in ways I still cannot come to terms with.
“I never thought she would be capable of doing what she did. “She has completely fooled me. I never want to see her again.”
Prosecutor Tony Ombacho, said: “On March 14 this year, the defendant left for work. As she forgot to take her mobile phone with her, the complainant took the opportunity to look at the phone and noticed something called Video Locker. “Initially, he couldn’t get access to it, which caused him to become suspicious.”
Eventually he managed to access the application. Mr Ombacho added: “It showed video recordings of the defendant participating in sexual activity with her husband while he was asleep. “The recordings have subsequently been destroyed.”
