A police officer attached to Sameta post has been arrested after he shot and killed a female bar attendant in Sameta Sub-County in Kisii County. Reports indicate  that on Thursday night, the suspect arrived at Maximum Bar, where the woman works, and said he “felt like shooting someone”.

The bar attendant, thereafter, asked him: “Why do you want to kill somebody?”

It was after that question that the cop pulled the trigger on the gun, killing the woman on the spot. The incident was confirmed by Kisii County police commander, Martin Kibet.  Mr Kibet said the suspect was on night duty, when he told his colleagues at Sameta post that he was going to buy supper, only for him to end up at Maximum Bar.
