Kiambu Women representative Gathoni Muchomba has requested former prime minister Raila Odinga for forgiveness after she called him “muguruki” which translates to worthless person during 2017 campaigns.
Speaking in a recent meeting attended by Raila Odinga,the outspoken politician started y requesting for a permission from the people.
“i want to repent today,should i? i cant hear you,”Gathoni said upon permission from his supporters.
Gathoni said that she has been guilty for long and she felt it was the right time to request for forgiveness.
“And now that you and President Uhuru Kenyatta you are calling each other my brother, today I was to ask for forgiveness. I will never call you Kimundu again. And I repeat I will never call you Kimundu again”. she said.
She said that the handshake has brought more peace for the country and Raila should be always free to visit Kiambu.
Uhuru Kenyatta invented the name “Kimuguruki” and plastered it to Raila Odinga who was great competitor towards 2017 elections.
