Zidane shocked the footballing world when he was announced as the new Real Madrid manager – 10 months after leaving them.
It comes after Florentino Perez binned two managers in that period, first Julen Lopetegui and now Santiago Solari.
The first boss was axed after four months in charge and was sacked immediately after a 5-1 defeat to Barcelona.
Solari, though initially regrouping Los Blancos, did not fare much better – with a terrible week that effectively ended their chances of a trophy this season.
Barca knocked them out of the Copa del Rey, then beat them again at the Bernabeu to end any chance of a title and in incredible scenes, Ajax thrashed them at home to send them packing in the Champions League.
It has led to Perez crawling back to Zidane, promising the legendary Frenchman what he would not give him last summer.
One of the reported reasons for the 46-year-old’s shock resignation was the fact he knew Cristiano Ronaldo would leave and would not be replaced.
What has proceeded has been an abject attempt from the likes of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio.

Zidane has demanded Chelsea star Hazard, who has one year left on his contract at the end of the season.
And the Belgian has been more than reciprocal to the European champions, and in particular Zidane.
It has also been revealed that the former Ballon d’Or winner has been courting the 28-year-old for TEN years.
In 2009, Zidane implored Real Madrid to sign the then-Lille winger, saying: “I would take Hazard to Madrid with my eyes closed.”
According to HLN, the two have been exchanging text messages ever since.
Chelsea are demanding at least £100m but Real will try drop that price due to the shortness of his contract.
