Man Utd Staff Member’s Tweet Goes Viral After He Reveals What Was Said On EasyJet Plane

The Red Devils produced a stunning turnaround in Paris last night to progress to the quarter-finals on away goals.

Marcus Rashford fired home an injury-time penalty after Diogo Dalot’s effort hit Presnel Kimpembe on the arm.

There was jubilation on the pitch – and in the living rooms of United fans worldwide.

And Manchester United club journalist Stewart Gardner has revealed the carnival atmosphere continued on the flight back to Manchester this morning.

He posted on Twitter: “Great work from the @easyJet crew on our flight out of Paris. ‘Good Morning. Ole’s at the wheel. I’m joined in the cockpit by Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Fred…’.”

Solskjaer is now the firm favourite to get the United job full time.

Under his stewardship, the club have recorded 14 wins in 17 games with just one defeat.

England international Luke Shaw – who’s had a challenging United career since signing from Southampton in 2014 – says Solskjaer getting the job looks a sure thing.

“I don’t think I need to say much after all these results, it looks certain,” he said.

“We all love Ole and we love the job he’s done so far.

“We’re enjoying everything that’s going on at the moment and the results have shown that.

“We’ve had a couple of blips but that’s nine away matches [won in a row] now, they’re not easy games, but it shows what Ole and his staff have done. Long may that continue.”

Ashley Young was similarly gushing about the club legend, although the versatile full-back told reporters the decision wouldn’t be down to the players.

“It’s not down to the players to decide,” Young said.

“If you look from the outside you’d say: ‘Why not?’ He’s been fantastic since he’s come in, a breath of fresh air.

“The way he’s gone about the job has been unbelievable.

“The achievements we’ve made in a short space of time have been fantastic.

“Luckily for us as players we don’t have to decide, it’s down to the owners and the directors.”
