For sometime now, we have seen Prophet David Owuor move around with high end classic cars with many of them being fuel guzzlers.
When a Prophet Owuor convoy is coming your way, you will be forgiven for actually thinking it is President Uhuru Kenyatta or any other important Government official or Dignitary.
Owuor’s convoy always got a heavy security detail that has at some point even included the Kenya Police.
Such privilages are only offered to important and rich people in the society and Owuor is surely one of them.
He is Rich, Famous and Powerful.
His source of wealth has however come under great scrutiny lately with allegations that he defrauded one Jayne Muthoni properties worth billions growing rife.
Muthoni’s family has accused Owuor and his Church of using dubious means to gain control and occupancy of her properties that they have alleged have been the source of Prophet Owuor’s cash and extravagant lifestyle.
Muthoni’s family believe that it is their sisters money that Prophet Owuor used to buy a total of 10 Luxury Cars.
They include six Mercedes-Benz cars manufactured between 2004 and 2012 and a 2014 Range Rover valued at Sh4.9 million.
Muthoni, a bishop in Owuor’s church, was a lawyer to the powerful Vice President George Saitoti who is said to have bequeathed most of his properties to her.
She is one of the few multi-billionaires who abandoned their careers to support Owuor’s ministry.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has summoned Owuor to record a statement with them at the Kabete Police Station either Today (Thursday) or Friday.
