Ugly Scenes At JKIA as GSU Disrupt Ongoing Strike by Kenya Aviation Authority Workers Union

General Service Unit Officers have this morning invaded the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after a Strike by Kenya Aviation Authority Workers Union led to a paralysis of Operations at the Airport leaving passengers stranded for long hours.

The workers’ strike has been occassioned by the rumoured planned take over of the JKIA Airport by Kenya Airways.

They have said the plans will render most of them jobless and want the plan to be discarded.

In a statement, on Wednesday morning, Kenya Airways warned the public to expect disruptions on flights.

“Customers on flights after 11 am are advised not to come to the airport until further communication is shared. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused,” KQ tweeted.
