Last year’s World cup will remain edged and pegged in the minds of football lovers especially those from Germany after their early exit putting in mind tat they were the defending champions.
This is seen majorly as the reason as to why the Germany head coach Joachim Loew has dropped three of his men who performed poorly in the games but were crucial in the 2014 world cup when they bagged the prestigious trophy.
Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng admits he would still like one more match for Germany after being unceremoniously dumped by Jogi Loew.
Boateng is one of three Bayern players, alongside Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels, informed on Tuesday that time has been called on their international careers.
Between them, the trio boast 246 international caps, and all were part of the 2014 World Cup-winning side. But after last summer’s horrendous World Cup in which Die Mannschaft suffered its worst showing in 80 years Loew is seeking to take the side into a new era.
The trio have all struggled for their best form over the past 12 months, and Loew declared: “I thank Mats, Jerome and Thomas for the many successful, extraordinary and unique years together

“I am convinced that this is the right step. The youngsters coming through will have the room they need to grow. Now it’s up to them to take on responsibility.”
Boateng has taken to social media to state that he sympathises with his manager’s decision.
But the 76-cap, 30-year-old also stated his desire for a finale with the national team.
“Joachim Low informed me today in a sincere conversation that I will not continue to be part of the DFB team, he would like to offer young players the stage for the future and a new face especially with regard to the upcoming tournaments of the team.
“I was young myself and reliant on older players making way for me. Personally, I am convinced that I can continue to play at the highest level and will continue to show that in the future. I will always look back on the time in the DFB team with great pleasure.
“I have always been extremely proud to be able to wear the national team jersey and will never forget the summer of 2014. Still, of course, I would have liked to see another farewell for us.
