Kenya National Examination Council Chairman Prof George Magoha has been appointed to the ministry of Education, taking over from Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Amina Mohamed.
This follows the latest cabinet reshuffles that President Uhuru Kenyatta has done on Friday morning following incompetency in various departments.
Amina, who has been under the education docket since last year after taking over from Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i.
She has been moved to the ministry of Sports, youth and Culture which has been under Rashid Echesa who has been fired this morning.
The head of state had on Thursday told Kenyans to expect sacking this week following pressure from a section of leaders over the ongoing graft cases.
