DPP Seeks To Challenge Sophie Mbogo Bond In High Court

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji is seeking to appeal at the High Court against a two million shillings bond for Diamond Trust Bank Manager Sophia Mbogo Who was charged with aiding and abetting the Dusit Hotel attack.

The prosecution said on twitter handle that it will appeal against freeing her on bond, saying Mbogo held a senior post and would interfere with witnesses saying that she is a flight risk.

Mbogo is accused of failing to report suspicious transactions amounting to 34.7 million shillings suspected to have been used to finance the attack. The attack left 21 people dead and many others injured. The case will be mentioned on 28th February 2019.
