Facebook has announced to roll out an enhancement to remove sent messages from Messenger worldwide.
Initially announced towards the end of 2018, the feature was not available everywhere. As from yesterday, everyone will have the option to delete a message, from your view, as well as from a group and,just like they did on Whatsapp.
However, it will only be available the first 10 minutes within which a message has been sent.
- Long-key on a message
- A Remove option will appear at the bottom, select it.
- Facebook will prompt you to ‘Remove for everyone’ or ‘Remove for you’. Remove for everyone will remove the message from the conversation for all recipients.
If you are using facebook from the website, you can as well delete the message from the Messenger on the facebook website.
But, for the websit messenger, you will have to click the three dots instead of long-keyiing the message. From there you can delete the message either from your view or from everyone’s.
