Mukami chose a career path taken by few ladies in the media industry, being a sports journalist.
Having studied her law degree in the University of Liverpool, Mukami had a chance to make it big in law. She could have been a household name in the legal chambers, owing to her father’s connections but she chose to grow her own career.
But her passion was somewhere else, in the media industry, the sports segment in particular.
Here is how she found herself as a scribe.
While working in the legal department in a local bank, she found a slot at Capital FM as a sports presenter. This is where she discovered her talent in journalism, and decided to move in full-me.
She would later leave to join Bamba Sports, a free-to-air sports channel, where she stayed for a year, thereafter joining Citizen TV.
Locally, Ms Mukami supports AFC Leopards while in the English Premier League she vouches for Arsenal.
Among her biggest dreams outside the newsroom, Mukami says that she would love to the sports CS and change the landscape of sports in the country.
