Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Paul Nkata has been suspended together with his assistant coach and George Mandela for match-fixing claims.
Bonface Imbenzi the club’s team manager has confirmed that the three went MIA before the club cracked the whip and did not attend the past session.
Kenyan International Allan Wanga will help lead the team as the investigation continues.
The TM: “Yes it is not a rumour,we have suspended him together with his assistant and one player by the name George Mandela of whom we suspect he has been in the game too though the executive is still doing thorough investigations, it was total sabotage and some players were influenced to determine the outcome of our previous match results. They(the three) have not attended training we don’t know their whereabouts and their phones too are off but I believe they got a hint of their impending suspensions and left before we could hand them their letters.
In the meantime, the players themselves will manage the team lead by Allan Wanga and David Juma…..” Boniface Imbezi kakamega Homeboyz TM said.
