D-Day! NTV’s Doreen Majala court assault case to be heard today

NTV news anchor Doreen Majala’s assault case against Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi will be coming up for hearing today at the Ngong Law Court.

Doreen, complained via Facebook saying Mulyungi beat her at their Karen home from about 9.50pm on February 26.

“I managed to report the matter at Hardy police station. I fear for my life because he always threatened me that I really don’t know who he is. This assault is not the first or second time. I did it to protect my home, and his anger condition. Please help,” Doreen wrote.

She added, “I am somewhere in Kileleshwa now, for I don’t know of my safety. Being locked up in the bedroom to be beaten is horrifying…”

The news anchor said she had to seek treatment at Avenue Hospital for injuries to the back of her head.

The P3 form states Gatwiri also sustained injuries to her ear, around her neck and the TMJ area. The TMJ connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the skull (temporal bone) in front of the ear.

After she reported, the MP was arraigned in court on March 2, 2018, and charged.
