Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has moved to assure the playing unit and the K’Ogalo nation that the allowances and bonuses will be paid on time.

Rachier’s remarks come just a day after head coach Hassan Oktay made a clarion call to the club hierarchy to ensure the team’s spirit is not broken by delayed arrears.

His remarks were made in the wake of their qualification for the CAF- Confederations Cup group stages after defeating New Star de Douala of Cameroon, 2-1 on aggregate.

“I haven’t met the players since they arrived from Cameroon and travelled Tanzania, but will be meeting them tomorrow (Wednesday) for a talk on how we are going to sort them out.

“I’m very proud of what the boys have done so far, we will ensure that we accord them maximum support to ensure they go as far as possible in the competition,” assured Rachier.

K’Ogalo are in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for this year’s edition of the Super Cup. There were payment delays last season which led to players downing tools towards the end of last season that saw the record Kenyan Champions lose three League matches on the trot. Rachier seems to have learnt from past mistakes but how well he has taken the lessons, only time will tell.
